Policies Agreement

We require all customer to meet the following general requirements:

• You must have a current valid US or State or International driver’s license.
• You must be at least 21 years of age.
• You must demonstrate adequate riding skills. A pre-ride evaluation may be conducted to verify you are skilled in the operation of the vehicle.
• If your passenger is under 12, they must wear a helmet at all times while riding our Polaris Slingshot. These are available for rent from us if you do not have your own.
• You agree not to allow anyone other than yourself or other authorized drivers under your rental agreement to operate your rental vehicle.
• You agree not to perform stunts of any kind on your rental vehicle including but not limited to, drifting or burnouts.
• We reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and retake possession of the vehicle in response to a violation of any of the foregoing.

We require all customers to meet the following insurance requirements:

• You are required to purchase state mandated minimum liability insurance from our insurance provider. The cost is $15.00 per day, for 2 drivers, and is not included in the rental rate. This insurance is mandatory and must be purchased by the customer prior to taking custody of the vehicle.
• Medical insurance is not provided and is the responsibility of the customer.
• If for any reason, our slingshot is damaged, the amount needed for the repair will be deducted from your security deposit.
• All coverage and waivers are subject to the terms and conditions of the rental contract and do not include coverage for property, personal or otherwise, or damage as a result of negligence on the part of the renter or passenger for any illegal use of the motorcycle or its use under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you are ill or on any prescription or over the counter medication you cannot operate our vehicles.

Reservation and Cancellation Policies:

• Reservations are dependent on availability.
• Reservations are accepted via the web page reservation system and by telephone. Reservation deposit is $100.
• There are no refunds or credits for undesirable weather, early returns, or any unused portion of the rental period.
• Slingshots will be held for 15 minutes beyond the scheduled reservation time.
• A security deposit of $500 will be applied to your credit card at the time of rental for all vehicles except the “R” models. A security deposit of $1000 will be applied to your credit card at the time of rental for all “R” model vehicles. The vehicle operator will need to provide a valid credit card for security deposit. We hold this deposit as an authorization hold on your credit card.
• The hold is removed when the vehicle is returned in the condition of the original rental time.
• We accept the following major credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. We do not accept any form of check or cash for vehicle rental.
• Alpha Slingshot Rentals reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
• If you need to cancel a confirmed reservation, you must advise us at least 3 days prior to the start date of the reservation. The $100 Reservation deposit is nonrefundable if canceled less than 3 days prior to reservation.

Motorcycle Operational Policies:

• Before you get in the vehicle, the tire pressure and gas levels will be recorded.
• A fuel charge may be added if the vehicle returns with less fuel than it had when it left.
• Premium fuel is required when refueling the vehicle.
• Report any mechanical problems immediately.
• Excessive wear on (but not limited to) rear tire, clutch, and belt, will incur additional costs.
• Excessive tire wear from misuse will result in you being for a replacement tire plus installation as well as time out of service for missed rentals.
• Customers may be held responsible for mechanical damage by not adhering to inspecting the vehicle before you leave.
• Do not drive on a flat tire.
• Lost key is $75.
• You are responsible for the vehicle until final check in is completed and accepted.
• You are responsible for any tickets or tolls incurred while you have possession of the vehicle. Should you not handle it in a timely manner, Alpha Slingshot Rentals will charge a $75 processing fee in addition to the fine.
• In the event of damage, your credit card can be used for the full balance of the repairs or the insurance deductible ($2500) whichever is the lesser of the two.
• Any damages are to be deducted from the deposit as well as any fees incurred at the end of the rental.
• MANDATORY ADDITIONAL INSURANCE IS $15 PER DAY.
• Vehicle is not to leave the Myrtle Beach/Grand Strand Area without prior authorization.
• PASSENGERS MUST BE 60lb OR MORE. NO CHILD SEAT.

Operational Hours:

• Any vehicle returned after the rental agreement has expired will have a $50 fee for each 30 minutes it is late.

General Conditions:

• At the time after rental if your credit card needs to be charged, you give permission to do so.
• You authorize the security deposit to be used for any and all damages incurred during the rental.
• Excessive dirtiness or clutter will be charged to the customer.
• All repairs will occur at the dealership or by any recommendation from the dealership.
• You give Alpha Slingshot Rentals permission to handle all repairs, cleaning, and safety issues.
• You agree the only drivers will be the ones listed on the rental agreement.
